Can I just say that I prefer the cabinetmaking to the light construction? After 3 days of too much work, the new wall is up in the kitchen.
I still need to install the fridge, make the spice cabinet, and tile the whole thing -- but let me linger in my feeling of satisfaction before I draw up my next to-do list.
So for the illustrative graphic below, here are the steps:
- Removed flanking cabinets
- Removed upper cabinet & exhaust fan, framed fridge soffitt, & installed recessed lighting
- Removed plaster wall
- Installed new electric & drywall
Next up, spice cabinet.
