About the Website
The two best things about traveling are 1) going away and 2) coming back home. This website, greg dash willis dot com, is about the going away part.
I love to travel. When planning a trip I like to learn from trip reports by real folks who have actually been to the destination. This website is my way of paying forward the work of those folks and helping you get a sense of the places I’ve visited.
The mission of this website is to provide you with visual, written, and geographic information that helps you dream and plan your future journeys.
Whether you’re actively planning a trip or just doing a bit of armchair travelling, I hope you find this entertaining and informative. Any questions? Drop me a line
About Greg Willis
I’m Greg, a fifty-something currently living in Colorado. I’ve had a couple of careers (IT and teaching ESL), but you don’t really care about that.
Growing up in the wooded flatland between the beaches and the swamps of southern Virginia, I have a special fondness for the vistas of dramatic landscapes that I lacked in my youth.
Moved to Colorado about ten years ago and eventually got bitten by the Fourteener bug. So I’ve climbed 50 of the 53 mountains in CO over 14,000 feet — wrapping up (hopefully) in the summer of 2021.
My travel interests are varied. I love to stop and get street food in the crowded streets of Hanoi. I also love backpacking in the lonely corners and canyons of southern Utah. Most of my adventures take place on foot — hiking, backpacking, trekking, snowshoeing, & scrambling. But I’ve had some biking and 4WDing as well.
Outside of the COVID times, you’ll usually find me at a Denver brewery drinking a beer outside on Saturday afternoons.
